Have you ever stood over a muddy puddle wondering how deep it is?
Perhaps you dropped something and broke the surface. Will you ever get it back?
You can’t see because the puddle is deep, or the dirt is swirling.
All you can see is a reflection of you, and when you don’t know what to do, it’s not helpful to see your own blank expression staring back at you.
This simple image can often mirror our experiences in life, when it’s not clear what to do.
You might start poking at the puddle with a stick, but all it does is stir up the grime.
Perhaps you try putting in one welly-booted foot to test the water, but this creates nothing but ripples.
“Sometimes you just have to wait,” says craniosacral therapist, Leanne.
“The more you try to clear the puddle, the more it muddies over,” she says.
And that’s a good tip for those times you’re not sure what direction to take.
Wait, and in time, that puddle will clear to give you fresh perspective.
Thanks Leanne for sharing your learning to help others ✨
